This means that if your business had completed its application and signed a grant agreement before the deadline, your eligibility for support continues. Moreover, businesses actively working on their Digital Adoption Plan with an approved CDAP advisor and holding a valid grant agreement are unaffected by the program’s closure.

However, the Grow Your Business Online grant, part of the Canada Digital Adoption Program (CDAP), is still open for applications and offers up to $2,400 to help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) enhance their online presence. This grant aims to support businesses in adopting digital technologies to increase sales, adopt security software, connect with customers, and improve their overall online user experience .

Most small companies have a limited understanding of “Digital Transformation” initiatives. True digital transformation is an organizational process, and one can bring about maximum impact only when everybody in the organization is empowered to participate. Worse still, lack of awareness and guidance, aging systems, and disconnected solutions limit companies’ ability to address their customers’ expectations. The dynamics of managing an SMB are very different from enterprise companies. The Canada Digital Adoption Program (CDAP) covers up to 90% of the eligible cost, should you seek a digital advisor, for a maximum grant value of $15,000 for SMEs to develop a digital adoption plan. You can also get up to $100,000 in interest-free loans from BDC to implement the digital adoption plan. Through CDAP, small and mid-sized businesses can seize this opportunity to assess the current digital marketing technologies and processes while having a concrete plan to optimize their online marketing. If you are eligible and partake in this “Boost your Business Technology” grant stream, you can get youth placement wage subsidies of up to $7,300 to help you implement your plan.

*Only an owner or a director (listed in the articles of incorporation) can complete the application form. If you are not listed in the articles of incorporation, unfortunately your application will be rejected automatically.

Before applying, your business must meet all of the following eligibility criteria:

Be incorporated federally or provincially, or be a Canadian resident sole proprietor
Be a for-profit, privately owned business
Have between 1 – 499 full time equivalent employees
Have at least $500,000 of annual revenues in one of the previous three tax years
